After a good meal, the table manners he displays being none of the best, Tontolini chances to observe a bill for 150 francs being presented to the neighbor whose repast he has duplicated. Horrified, he puts the only money he possesses on the table and slips out unobserved: The waiter soon tries to find him to give him his change, an excellent and unexpected denouement-evidently the tariff varies according to the apparent ability of the customer to pay. Tontolini sees the waiter in pursuit and takes to his heels. After a chase, in which he displays his acrobatic powers to advantage, he is caught and the waiter hands him his change. The large crowd which follows bears no malice and Tontolini kisses them all effusively. Written by Kinematograph Weekly - July 28, 1910 See less
