Ryan has a condition called Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome also known as 4p-. It occurs in approximately 1 out of every 50,000 births. Ryan, now age 11, has improved immensely over the past few years as a result of his caring nurse. The family has gone through misdiagnoses, lost funding and negligent health care providers. It was only through Cimar, their current nurse, that Ryan is now able to walk, eat by mouth and understand simple directions which is much beyond doctors expectations.
