When the weather is nice, dozens of motorbikes thunder through the middle of the village every weekend, because anyone who wants to take a joyride into the Eifel on their bike has to go through Hengasch. Half of Hengasch's residents welcome visitors from the city, the other half does not. Because, as is always the case, the innkeepers benefit from this, while the farmers complain about the noise and trampled fields. When lawyer Groll has a fatal accident on his bike right in front of the forester's lodge one Sunday morning, it quickly becomes clear that the accident must have something to do with the tense situation in the village. Sophie enters the macho world of weekend choppers, kicks up a lot of dirt there and also runs into her ex, Andreas Zielonka, and his new girlfriend. Hannes and Danuta have become a secret couple, but Hannes wants to wait until he tells Sophie what's going on. The Schäffers' marital peace seems to have been restored, but Heike is still worried about Dietmar, who is strangely taciturn and irritable. But Heike wouldn't be Heike if she didn't find out the reason for Dietmar's condition: During his regular health check, Dietmar was certified as being 83 years old. That could quickly mean early retirement. Written by ADR Das Erste See less
