His mother Nicole and his father, farmer Ludwig Jaschke, are devastated and cannot explain who could have kidnapped the little one. Ludwig does have various enemies, such as beekeeper Petri, whose bee colonies died because of Jaschke's genetically modified corn. But the deeper Sophie, Dietmar and Bärbel delve into the case, the clearer it becomes that the Jaschkes are keeping a family secret, because Nicole and her brother-in-law have apparently become very close in the past - which also raises the question of who Timmi's biological father is and who might therefore have a reason for a kidnapping. In her private life, Sophie is annoyed by her sulking and lovesick father.
