Mitch is pretty confident in his "senator elect" status after taking down one of Frank Smith's boys - Ted DiLucca. Luke is strong-armed into being Mitch's hit-man by Frank Smith. The hit is scheduled for Nov 6th (election day). Luke knows only too well what his own fate will be after the hit is made. He returns to the disco and it is obvious that he already sees himself as a dead man. Rick and Scotty race to Kirkorian's hotel to try and force him into confessing that he's been lying about his wife's previous medical history. Lesley has beaten them to it. Jeff tells Bobbie that Peter Taylor was trying to tell him something about Steven Lars before he died. Mitch knows he's a moving target for the mob. He refers to Tracey as an "asset". Alan is acting like a protective big brother. Scotty and Rick nudge Kirkorian into confessing to perjury. Zelda Bernstein arrives at Kirkorian's hotel and learns that she has just lost her case. Rick races home to tell Lesley that they lawsuit is being dropped. Rick calls Monica. Lesley tells Rick how she managed to soften Kirkorian, (this is what we later hear Howard refer to as R&L's "power play" to break Kirkorian) then she calls Laura to share the news. Laura is thrilled and she tells her mother that her news "makes everything right again." "Laura can't wait for Scotty to pick her up from work tonight."See less
