One day, Gabrielle and her girlfriend, Ava, are taking a walk in the woods near Ava's home. They are both accosted by three men, led by Jax. Gabrielle puts up a good fight, but is struck from behind with a tree branch. When she comes to she finds that Ava has been beaten, raped and murdered. Because of her head injury, Gabrielle can't remember who the perpetrators are. At a fundraiser, Gabrielle sees Jax and her memory slowly begins to come back.
