Despite this, he starts work as a butcher in his home town. Decades later and in his mid forties, Stirling loses his butchering job due to the location of the butcher shop and the fact that people's shopping habits have changed. For Stirling, he loved the community spirit, but unbeknownst to everyone else, he relied on the bags of animal blood that he would purchase secretly without his boss knowing. With no job, income, or access to animal blood, Stirling becomes desperate to survive and as the home situation seems helpless, his thirst is increasing to the point that seeking out human blood feels like a very desirable answer to his short term problems. Stirling is better than that though, and fights his newly increasing instincts until fate deals him a hand that he cannot resist. After a cyclist kills himself by crashing into Stirling's car, Stirling is left with a seemingly consequence-free situation to have his long overdue fill of human blood. However, the cyclists partner, who was a little way behind, sees everything and leads the police to corner Stirling before he does something horrific. Written by Simon Manley See less
