While one of the inspectors goes off to the post with Howie, the other stands guard over Stingaree awaiting the return of a wagon in which to put the captive. Stingaree proves his gameness in the long wait under the blistering sun and in a moment of unwariness for the inspector he is captured. Later, by a clever ruse, Stingaree rescues Howie.
