The dead man himself was holding the murder weapon. But an impersonal suicide note immediately casts doubt on the alleged suicide. According to his widow Veronika, Sonnleiter was a happily married man who, as an office clerk, had no financial worries. So why would he, of all people, take his own life? Hubert and Staller take a close look at the football club, which is threatened with relegation, and its environment. Was the dead man involved in betting fraud, or had he even become the victim of his fanatical supporters? But despite these suspicions, the investigations come to nothing.
