They had lived together for 50 years, and forty of them in this show apartment at Karlaplan. The children now want the apartment to be sold. Siw doesn't really know what she wants. In the film's opening, we meet Siw as she, with the help of her children and grandchildren, sorts and packs up her belongings for the sale of the apartment. She puts pink notes on what the moving truck will take with her. She is determined to only take the things she wants around her, to her new home, the rest will be sold. Siw opens a pantry with shelves up to the ceiling. She has to stand on a ladder to reach it. On the shelves and in bags on the floor are her rolls of film.
