The birth of his son makes him reflect more on life and his dark past-the past that shaped him into the man he is today. Memories resurface. Yunis begins to share the gripping story of his escape from Iraq. In a poetic manner, he expresses the deep impressions this journey has left on him. As he speaks to his son, he realizes that fleeing has shaped him, that he has learned to take control of his own life, grown stronger, and achieved his dreams. He understands that he needs to share his story more often and believes it can inspire and inform others.
