Society is spiraling out of control as the wealthy and insatiable capitalise human kind's darkest hour. The slim percentage of fertile women are herded into institutions known as 'Sanctuaries', removing their individuality and turning them into simple vessels of reproduction. Under the guise of safeguarding humanity, these fertile victims have become mere tools to further enrich the greedy; objects of social identification and prestige. The women of the Sanctuaries, known as 'Surrogates', have no power; no sense of self or knowledge of human rights. They have been pinned by the social order as sub-human; their vital ability to reproduce taken for granted. The unfortunate residents of the Sanctuaries are drugged and kept docile in order to push them through their disturbing sentences.
