Dubrovsky joins forces with journalist Bezhetsev and FSB general Laptev. Bezhetsev puts forward a version that Irinarkhov is not who he claims to be. Dubrovsky searches for evidence of this version in Chita. Irinarkhov also sends his faithful Pinocchio to Chita. 15 years ago, Irinarkhov did not suspect that he had appropriated the appearance, surname and biography of another, no less terrible criminal, a terrible maniac nicknamed the Butcher. Now the Butcher, having also changed his appearance and surname, has become an obstacle for the candidate for deputy Irinarkhov. Pinocchio and the counterfeiter Mazila find the Butcher's lair, but he turns out to be more cunning. Dubrovsky and detective Zaprudin, in search of Myasnik, turn to the psychic Kopchik, who has come to Chita, for help. At the farewell banquet, Kopchik accuses psychotherapist Sokratov of Myasnik's crimes.See less
