When she regains consciousness, she is standing in a theater in front of an orchestra, but not the one in New York. She is in her hometown of Lviv, which has been occupied by Soviet Russia since the invasion. And sitting in the audience is an NKVD officer, her future tormentor, insecure but with great musical ambitions.
