Inside there is a silent guardian, the conductor. His existence, hanging by a thread, runs imagining the lives of those who struggle among the concrete and the streets below. Seen from above, the metropolis seems to stop, the chaotic sounds, the speed of the streets, the aggressiveness of the people fall silent in few seconds. Time slows down. Everything becomes landscape. I think these feelings, remained unchanged during a lifetime, belong to all those who, with their faces pressed to the window, saw in the distance the Vesuvius which stands on the Gulf of Naples.
