Since the house is owned by a relative of Casey's, property manager Laurence lets Casey live there for free, yet unemployment and low income still trouble Casey. One day, Laurence unexpectedly tells Casey that a young couple, Donald and Megan, will move in. Shortly afterward, Casey learns that business tycoon LT will open a new branch in this town. Casey befriends Rhea, a volunteer at a food bank, and makes regular visits to Tyler, a social worker working on Casey's case. Casey finds this new life both fresh and strange, until facing the hardship of losing sleep and income at the same time. What makes it worse is that Laurence requests that Casey pay rent or move out.
