The friendships he forms with Mümtaz, Cemil, Recep, and the other residents restore a sense of belonging he hasn't felt in years. Working in the garden with Saliha, touching the soil, and most importantly, taking responsibility for Saliha's sick grandson Vedat and forming a bond with him become a turning point that illuminates the darkness within Kenan. During this time, Kenan sees becoming a source of hope for the young boy as a second chance for himself and decides to do everything he can for Vedat's recovery.
