The incident occurred at the Military History Museum in Berlin-Gatow, where Elias works as the technical director. Annabelle Treskow is a representative of an external security firm; they had previously held a business meeting. Konfidis claims he has never met Annabelle Treskow. Romy suggests mediating between the parties. It then emerges that Elias Konfidis was at Annabelle's house and observed her, as video footage from her father, Günther Treskow, proves. Elias denies being a stalker. However, there is a connection between Elias's father, who is imprisoned abroad and whom Elias has never met, and Günther Treskow. The two share a history dating back to the Cold War era, when East Germany spied on the military installations of the Western Allies. When Günther Treskow is attacked in his house and claims Elias Konfidis is the perpetrator, Romy begins to wonder to what extent present events might have their origins in the past. The money laundering case takes a turn when the public prosecutor's office grants access to the alleged account where the evidence is supposedly located. Veronica Strauss, convinced of Romy's guilt, disapproves of this concession by Senior Public Prosecutor Dr. Wolfgang Tümmler. She believes that Romy Heiland exploited her vulnerability to successfully deceive everyone. While Romy feels things are becoming clearer, Tilly surprises her with thoughts from her inner world, revolving around the meaning of life, her identity, and her future. Romy finds it difficult to respond to Tilly's profound reflections; her own problems are currently very immediate. Written by ARD Das Erste See less
