The remaining five contestants spend their second of two weeks on the island of Kauai, primarily in the jungle as opposed to the first week which was largely on the beach. Beyond the workouts, many of the activities are symbolic of rebirth and renewal and/or letting go of fear. Dolvett wants Rob to let go of that fear, which Dolvett feels has held Rob back from accomplishing so much more in his life, with his symbolic activity being to repel down a waterfall. As opposed to Rob who has to hold on in his activity, Jessie asks Lori to let go of a rope, which will drop her down a giant swing, symbolizing her heading to new heights. And at Comeback Canyon, Bob asks both Jordan and Scott to balance on a beam twenty-five feet above ground, symbolizing the balance they will have to find in their life, before jumping off to new adventures. Many find it difficult to do these symbolic gestures. The reward challenge, the winner of which who will receive a one pound advantage at the weigh-in, is a combination obstacle course/lacrosse skill test, the combination which proves to be difficult for most. And at the weigh-in, the five, who return to the ranch, face a red line this week. Written by Huggo See less
