Lisa's husband, Michael, now chief physician at the local hospital, is only providing routine care - with life-threatening consequences for the patient. At the practice, Christian clashes with Lisa because she wants to offer customized health services as an additional service. Christian isn't at all in favor of this "money-making" scheme. But the decision must be made jointly, as Christian is no longer the sole boss. Due to the Kleists' financial difficulties, Christian is forced to ask Michael for additional income as an emergency doctor at the hospital. Anna's financial situation is also becoming increasingly difficult, so she seeks legal representation at the district court with the help of a former mentor. Her first assault case presents her with a moral dilemma. Nora, on the other hand, has every reason to be happy, as Lisa hires another medical assistant for the practice to provide relief. Meanwhile, the erotic tension between Lisa and Timo grows ever stronger and ultimately erupts in an affair. Lisa regrets this shortly afterward, but she can't bring herself to tell Michael the truth.
