At the hospital, Christian and Michael can only speculate. Once the cause of Inge's seizure is determined, it becomes clear that life in Eisenach will lead to physical limitations for Inge. Carola Kämper, a taxi driver in Eisenach, visits Lisa's practice because of pain, fatigue, and dizziness. The symptoms, which Lisa initially attributes to menopause, are more serious than expected. Shortly after her visit to the practice, Carola suffers a fainting spell while driving her car, almost leading to a serious accident. The single mother now fears losing her job and no longer being able to care for her two sons. When Carola finally loses her sight after another fainting spell, she fears she will go blind forever. The atmosphere between Michael and Lisa is tense: Since his reprimand from Professor Bender, Michael has been under enormous pressure, which he unfortunately brings home with him all too often. Lisa, on the other hand, is tormented by her guilty conscience. She finally confesses her affair with Timo to Michael. For Michael, everything is now perfectly clear; he saw the signs, but couldn't interpret them. Hurt, he turns away from Lisa. Things aren't going well for Christian - the fact that Anna is away in Munich on business and can only be reached by voicemail is bothering him.
