On death row for performing an illegal underground concert, known by the powers that be as a "Crime of Influence," Ethan must pay the ultimate price. He is thrown into a cell with Trent Green, a loud-mouthed nervous wreck who serves as a sort of vocalization of Ethan's inner thoughts and worry. However, hearing these thoughts out loud leaves a sour taste in Ethan's mouth. As time passes by, Ethan pushes farther and farther away from reality, delving deep into his own mind as he tries to figure out exactly what he should be feeling and thinking in these final hours, faced with death.
