Painters live through their paintings: Here, the main character, in a prison situation, expresses his freedom through his imagination. This feeling can be likened to someone making a film: We are happy when our film is completed. In this film, this happiness is procured by one or more of the 5 senses: The musician is happy when he can listen to his finished music; also the painter, when he can admire his finished painting. Another important aspect to me in this project, was to show the relationship between the characters: the painter's accomplice is the cook, who helps him as much as he can to develop his work in a material way in providing him with the necessary material, and in a spiritual way by believing in him, providing him with the necessary strength to carry out his painting. There is also the relationship between the painter and the musician who turns out to be unusual: He sets up a dialogue despite the barrier that separates them, where will be born a true friendship, not to mention the relationship they can maintain through their respective art. I wanted to express in this film the emotions that allow us to identify with the main character, to make us feel his feelings, including the confinement, which I choose like the global atmosphere of the film.
