He accompanies the ecumenical patriarch Bartholomaios I on a journey to Mustafapasa, a former Greek rock town, and gives an insight into the everyday life of the Cappadocian shepherd Ali Sirli, who uses an old Byzantine cave church as a sheepfold. He is one of the last Cappadocians to inhabit a fairy fireplace in Uchisar and therefore has trouble with the authorities of his village Uchisar. Written by Martin Thoma See less
