Verizon's yielding more than 3% and my cash ain't getting me jack. Verizon's business is strong and getting stronger, cash is going down in yield.

Dear Action Alerts PLUS Subscriber, Verizon's (VZ) yielding more than 3% and my cash ain't getting me jack. Verizon's business is strong and getting stronger, cash is going down in yield. Verizon has a red- hot wireless division that this market would eat up. I have to take advantage of this decline to pick up another 500 shares after you read this. Lately, the best thing I can do with this portfolio is tell you to sell what I can't. I have been adamant that Halliburton (HAL) , Merck (MRK) , Fluor (FLR) and Constellation Energy (CEG) must be sold. Lotta good that's done me; I hope it has helped you. Fluor will miss its numbers big given the power generation orders that will be cancelled. Constellation Energy could have been in free-fall like the others in power generation, but isn't because it is now going back to being an old-fashioned utility. I hate the stock and think there could be another shoe to fall. And I'm giving you a heads up that I will buy General Electric (GE) and PepsiCo (PEP) if I can keep from mentioning them on the radio show, as they are available to be bought tomorrow!
