Overview
Alison Scheid is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science. She is the Director of Physical Therapy Residency Education and Program Director for the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program. With her Board Certification Specialties in both Orthopedic and Neurologic Physical Therapy, she specializes in the treatment of concussion and traumatic brain injury in addition to numerous other overlapping neurologic and orthopedic conditions.
She is a member of the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators. As a course director and instructor of multiple courses in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, she teaches physical therapy students longitudinally in anatomy, medical screening, and best practices in interprofessional care. Dr. Scheid is highly involved in residency education for physical therapists and leads content in areas of concussion and vestibular rehab, neurodynamics, foot and ankle care, and systems-based practice.
