Abstract

Anxiety as a symptom is very frequent in alcoholic patients and the comorbidity between alcoholism and anxiety disorders is very high. One of the reasons is the reciprocal implication between both pathologies. Habitually, it is better to treat both disorders at the same time, specially panic disorder and posttraumatic stress disorder. We must be cautious with the use of benzodiazepines. Generally we must prefer SSRI and other drugs.
