Abstract
Several alpha, omega, di(2-methoxy-6-chloro-9-acridinyl) polyaza-alkanes have been prepared starting from 6, 9-dichloro-2-methoxy acridine. Some acridine dimers are able to bind to DNA with a very high affinity, both aromatic rings being intercalated.
