How to Make a Saree - So simple you don't need pictures! [25 Apr 2005|02:07pm]
[ **mood** | bored ] Here are some examples of the final product! How to Make A Saree: - go to your local fabric store and select a nice silky fabric that would look good as a saree. (Remember, large floral patterns don't look good on small dolls.) Purchase 1/4 yard. - Sew a hem on it so that the fabric goes from your doll's waist down to her ankles. - If you're feeling really crafty/tallented (something I'm not when it comes to sewing) you can make a 3/4 length shirt that matches your fabric. - Here's a site that shows how to put on a saree. (It's the best one I could find). Tip: If you want to leave your girls in their sarees for a while, I'd suggest putting a couple of stitches in the pleats that you could easily take out later. ;)
