_8:37 pm_[ohmygiddyaunt] i'm a noob. i bring you fic! Hullo! I'm new here, and I bring fic for you all. :DDid you know a woman wrote a fanfiction about Will and got it published? It looks brilliant...plus, Will's love interest and I share the same name. :) I am so buying this book.Anyway, I've already written a fanfiction about him, even though I just discovered my "romantic" feelings for him a few days ago. I officially have no life. :) Yey!Title: Sweet JulySummary: "She sits up, looking out the doorway, and there he is. Prince William; who has almost just killed her, and is now staring at her strangely, with his hands in the pockets of his trousers."Rating: PG-13 for language.Pairing:William/OCLength: 2080 wordsDisclaimer: I don’t own anything, including the song “Knocking On Heaven’s Door”, as it is Bob Dylan’s. I don’t know Prince William. I guess this is just an interpretation. Enjoy the story.Notes: There's a fanfiction site for him here if you want to check it out, although most of it is pretty fucking awful. :D Enjoy! _4:52 pm_[alesse21] My heart stopped for a minute Prince William takes polo tumbleSunday, March 13, 2005 Posted: 0225 GMT (1025 HKT) Prince William takes a fall from his horse during the polo match. LONDON, England (Reuters) -- Britain's Prince William fell from his horse on Saturday while playing against his brother Prince Harry during a tsunami charity polo match in western England. The 22-year-old prince was unhurt in the fall and quickly remounted to carry on the game at Longdole Polo Club in Birdlip, Gloucestershire, which his team lost 12-7. Britain suffered 84 confirmed deaths in the December 26 tsunamis in the Indian ocean, which were triggered by a major earthquake off the coast of Indonesia's Sumatra. (Special report)A further 105 people are classified as "highly likely to be involved," meaning they are thought by friends and relatives to have been in the affected areas when the waves hit but have not be seen or heard from since. The British numbers were dwarfed by a regional toll of around 300,000 people dead or missing, mostly in Indonesia's Aceh province but also in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Maldives and east Africa. http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe/03/12/uk.prince.fall.reut/title or descriptionCurrent Mood: drained(3 Royals | Coronate!)

_1:20 am_[vlaskerbean] The New Prince William Interview Prince William defends his familySaturday, November 20, 2004 Posted: 2152 GMT (0552 HKT)http://edition.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/europe/11/20/brit.prince.ap/LONDON (AP) -- Prince William supported the oft-criticized behavior of his brother, Prince Harry, and also stuck up for his dad, Prince Charles, in a rare interview with the British media published Saturday.Prince Harry has matured and simply does what he thinks is right, William said of his younger brother, who landed in the tabloids recently after scuffling with paparazzi outside a London nightclub."I don't see as much of Harry as I used to because obviously we were at school together, but he's grown very much into his own man," said William, a geography student at Scotland's St. Andrew's University, in an interview provided to the British media. "He's very self-confident. He does what he feels is right."William also said he wished the media would focus more on the charitable work done by his father, Prince Charles.A recent scandal has centered on a memo written by Charles that criticized British schools for offering children too much false self-esteem and not enough realistic criticism."I just wish more of his charitable work was concentrated on because he does do a hell of a lot of work," William said. "I just really hold him in great admiration about the amount of time he gives up to do work here and there."William's comments came during an interview at St. Andrew's University, where the 22-year-old prince is a final-year student. Prince Charles' office struck an agreement for the press to allow the two princes to complete their educations without attention from the media, in exchange for intermittent formal, pooled interviews. The interview and accompanying pictures, released in increments on Friday and Saturday, were published in most British newspapers Saturday. The prince said members of the royal family remained close despite the busy schedule and wide-ranging interests of his brother and father."We're a very close family," William said. "There are disagreements, obviously, as all families do, and when there are, there are big disagreements, but when there's happy times we have a really good time. It's just difficult getting all three of us in the same house at one time."William said he would want to fight on the front line if he joined the military, as many royals do. But he said he was not sure whether he would sign up after graduating from university next year. The prince said being second in line to the throne would present problems if his unit was sent into action, but he would not want to be held back."The last thing I want to do is be mollycoddled or wrapped up in cotton wool because if I was to join the army I'd want to go where my men went and I'd want to do what they did," he said.Full story - Click here: http://edition.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/europe/11/19/prince.william.ap/index.htmlCurrent Mood: awake(Coronate!)

_7:52 pm_[vlaskerbean] A New Home for William? http://icwales.icnetwork.co.uk/0100news/0200wales/tm_objectid=14762913&method=full&siteid=50082&headline=borders-mansion-for-prince-william--name_page.htmlBorders mansion for Prince William?Oct 16 2004Laura Elston, Western Mail THE Prince of Wales is building a new mansion, prompting speculation it could eventually become a country home for Prince William.Secluded Harewood Park, on the banks of the River Wye, has been chosen as the site for the 10,000sq ft house, which is reported to be costing £3m.The land near Monmouth is the site of the original Georgian Harewood Park country house, which was demolished in 1959 after being used for training by the SAS and as a hospital during World War Two.A Clarence House spokesman said, "It's being built very much in the old style, with all the atmosphere and tradition."Rumours that it may eventually be inhabited by St Andrews University student William were said to be "pure speculation".But its country location near the Welsh border would suit a 22-year-old prince, who shares his father's keen interest in hunting, shooting, horse-riding and fishing."At the moment it's being built very much as investment for the rental market as a letting property," the spokesman said. "It will take four to seven years to build."Powys-based architect Craig Hamilton was picked by the Prince of Wales to design the grand dwelling in Herefordshire, which will be built with local stone.Mr Hamilton, from Hundred House, near Llandrindod Wells, has already won awards for his country house designs. The architect said there had been a huge amount of media interest in the Duchy of Cornwall's plans. And he added that he was very pleased to be a part of the project. He said, "I've been working for the Duchy of Cornwall for a long while and this is part of a much larger regeneration project for the Duchy of Lancaster in Herefordshire, which is a great project to be involved in."Around an hour from Charles' country home Highgrove, the 900-acre property is even closer to the Princess Royal's home, Gatcombe Park. The Duchy of Cornwall bought the land for £2m in 2000 and the local council has just published the planning details, the Prince's spokesman said. Plans for the main building are believed to include six to eight bedrooms, two reception rooms, an orangery and a boot room.Ten derelict farm cottages will also be revamped and rented out, as will 15,000sq ft of workshops. The plans follow calls for Prince Charles to buy a home in Wales. He was challenged to show the people of Wales how much he loves the country by actually living in it, at least for part of the year.Peter Law, Assembly Member for Blaenau Gwent, believes the prince should lead by example and purchase a home in Wales, rather than booking in at bed and breakfasts or staying in a siding on a Royal train.Mr Law has said, "The people of Wales would have a lot more respect for him and it would be in the spirit of devolution."He said he had written to the Prince several times about the issue.Harold Brooke-Baker, publishing director of Burke's Peerage, said it would be politically attractive for one of the Royal residences to be located in Wales, but he could see no reason why taxpayers would have to pay for it.He said, "Wales should be the most important part of the Prince's empire."The Prince needs the support of Wales and he clearly has a very serious attitude about Wales, but it is also clear he is favourably disposed towards Scotland. He also has a home in the Channel Islands."He should make more statements on issues he's fighting for from within Wales itself, not from Scotland or Highgrove in Gloucestershire."A Clarence House spokesman for Prince Charles said the Prince had regularly attended several events in Wales every year and he usually stayed for a week in the summer. _2:17 pm_[vlaskerbean] Prince William in Tennessee Prince William in Nashville Prince William enjoyed a taste of Tennessee in August 2004, spending a week in Nashville. One local newspaper said that Prince William flew first class on an American Airlines flight from Chicago. He was dressed in a buttoned down long-sleeve shirt tucked into "snug" jeans. He wore a baseball cap pulled down low. Using a false name, William flew with a security guard, complete with dark glasses. Prince William was the last one on the plane, and he boarded after three other security guards walked all the way through the cabin. At an Abercrombie & Fitch store at the CoolSprings Galleria Jordan asked him if he was Prince William, and he reportedly said - in a British accent: "No, I'm taller." William was visiting Anna Sloan who had also studied at St Andrews University. Anna is the daughter of the late George Sloan who once rode in the Grand National horse race in England. William stayed at the Sloan family 300 acre farm in Williamson County where he was able to swim in their pool. William also had dinner at Sperry's where he dined with 15 friends. The Daily Mirror said that the group split the bill between them. William had chosen bacon-wrapped filet mignon stuffed with blue cheese and creamed spinach. http://theinternetforum.co.uk/william/tennessee1.html Current Mood: cheerful(3 Royals | Coronate!)
