For those who enjoy art, you should look into Caravaggio. He was an openly gay artist in the late 1500s/early 1600s. He did a series of works, most of them named 'Bacchus', for Cardinal Francesco del Monte. The series featured boys in provocative poses, drinking wine and surrounded with bowls of over-ripe fruit. The over-ripe fruit was a clear allusion to the dangers of giving in to sexual temptation (it looks good but you will regret eating it). The Cardinal was known for his interest in young men and had several parties full of them which Caravaggio attended.

I'm new to this community, and I have a question. I was wondering if anyone has a good list or can recommend any good documentaries about GLBT…
