ひっそり鬱金香 fes 中 🌷 tulip festival２

（6月中旬）「トルコ至宝展 チューリップの宮殿 トプカプの美」が京都へ巡回してきました。
待ってました！
表紙にみえる ”Lale” はトルコ語やペルシア語で「チューリップ」を意味します。

The exhibition in 2019 Turkish Culture Year has arrived in Kyoto!

" The Treasures and Tradition of "Lale" in the Ottoman Empire "
The lale means tulip in Turkish.

チューリップがトルコで盛んに栽培され始めたのは、
スルタン・スレイマン1世の治世期（1520-66）でした。
（上図は後世のヨーロッパ様式の肖像画、下図はTVドラマ。似ていますね！）
トルコ語でラーレ（lale：لاله‎ ：Lam - Elif - Lam - He）と呼ばれたその花は
アッラー（Allah： الله ：Elif - Lam -Lam - He）と同じ４文字で綴られたことから
神の花として大切にされてきました。

The tulip came to be cultivated in Turkey in the period of Suleiman I (1520-66).
That flower "lale" was spelled using the same four alphabets with those of Allah.
This is why this flower has been regarded as the God's flower.

トルコ発テレビドラマ「オスマン帝国外伝」に登場するスレイマン1世。
豪華なターバン飾りやカフタン（上衣）が目を引きます。
少し時代は下りますが、17世紀のターバン飾りと見比べてみましょう。

Suleiman I is the hero of The Magnificent Century, a Turkish TV drama.
His aigrette and kaftan are gorgeous. The below aigrette is later than his.

スレイマン1世のものとされるチューリップ模様のカフタン（左）。
女児用のカフタン（右）と基本的に同じ形です

This kaftan is said to be Suleiman I's (left), with a pattern of tulips.
That smaller kaftan (right) of the same shape is that of a princess.

スレイマン1世とヒュッレム妃のあいだに生まれた皇子（「オスマン帝国外伝」

この子が戦場に出るのはまだだいぶ先…The above boy is a prince of Suleyman.
He will participate in his first campaign some day…

兜の実物を見ると、チューリップのつぼみのような部品が
上下に動かせる仕掛けになっていることが分かりました。
戦場ではこれを引き下ろして鼻梁を守り…

The helmet with tulip-stem-shaped part is adjustable.

ふだんはこうやって引き上げておくのですね。ドヤ顔？ウィーン包囲（1529年）の最中ですから！

His long nose was protected !（Siege of Vienna in 1529）

チューリップは身の回りのありとあらゆるものを飾ります。
カーテン、風呂敷、クッションカバー、ベッドカバー、etc.

The tulip-design on curtains, cushions, bedspreads, etc.

トルコ語のゆりかごうたを聴いてからハレムドラマにはまつちまつた

書物にもチューリップ。昔はトルコもアラビア文字を用いていました。
チューリップは燕尾のように細長いほど美しいとされました。
そういえば、原種のチューリップ（2016年撮影）も燕尾型に近いですね。The tulips in the books with Arabic script.
A longer and narrower tulip was prized.
The wild ancestor is like a swallowtail.

この18世紀に描かれた燕尾型チューリップは葉が縮れています。
トルコのチューリップは17世紀にオランダへ輸出され、チューリップ・バブルを引き起こしました。
病害による珍奇な色のチューリップがもてはやされ、やがてはトルコに逆輸入されたとか。
このチューリップも病める花なのかもしれません。

This swallow-tailed tulip painted in the 18th century has crisp leaves.
The Turkish tulip was exported to Holland in the 17th century and
brought Tulip Fever, where strange flowers (because of the virus) were bred
and exported again to Turkey. The above one also might have been sick.
