San Francisco officials have agreed to pay up to 19.5milliontotheownersofHotelWhitcombtopayfordamagescausedbyhomelesspeoplehousedthereaspartofthecity′semergencyshelterprogramduringtheCOVID−19pandemic.Alltold,officialssaytheyexpecttopayoutsome19.5 million to the owners of Hotel Whitcomb to pay for damages caused by homeless people housed there as part of the city's emergency shelter program during the COVID-19 pandemic. All told, officials say they expect to pay out some 19.5milliontotheownersofHotelWhitcombtopayfordamagescausedbyhomelesspeoplehousedthereaspartofthecity′semergencyshelterprogramduringtheCOVID−19pandemic.Alltold,officialssaytheyexpecttopayoutsome26 million for damages to hotels caused by those being housed in the emergency shelter program.
