Remove Growl Notifications

Description

Growl appears to be abandoned upstream. No updates in ~5 years, and few if any users on pfSense.

At this point it should be safe to remove, but we can wait for the next release to give anyone who might still be using it a heads up.

Regarding Growl, until the latest is x version we just didn’t have a lot of need to put out a new release. Things worked. We’re likely to put out a new version within the next 1-2 months though.

I’m not sure how much code this is to maintain, but we still have a lot of users on our end.

No active code for growl that I can see, other than the entries which are needed to remove it (obsolete files, upgrade code)
