Both were talking about how you can do all the right things but sometimes other people just don't see it that way.Maybe I am just odd, but I'm not sure why that should be anyone's worry. If I am doing all the right things and someone else doesn't see it or want to believe it, fuck em! I refuse to spend my life spinning my wheels for someone else's amusement or benefit. There is a difference between responsibility and proving others wrong.Now, before I start getting comments saying that if someone you love doubts you, you should reassure them, let me just say by all means. But there is a line between reassuring someone and PROVING yourself to someone. Proof should be saved for court cases and that's about it. If someone needs absolute proof, and you give into that, you are becoming their bitch. Think about it, if someone wants you to prove something, then they don't trust you. so why should you waste your time trying to convince them of something? You can easily fall into this trap and end up getting screwed over and over.What other people think does NOT MATTER when it comes down to the nitty gritty of life. If I cared about what people thought of me I would have been locked in a looney bin years ago. There will never be an exact science when it comes to interacting with other people in this world. Not everyone is going to believe you, trust you, like you, respect you, or even acknowledge you. The only way to navigate life efficiently is to weed out those that don't, and leave your time and attention and effort for those that accept you fully and without any judgement.Trust me, I wasn't always this way. I am hot headed and back in the day I would argue with anyone until I was blue in the face. but honestly, what does it accomplish? Who really wins in the end? Can we ever really change someone else's mind about us? Now there are times when debate is a healthy occurance. It can be educational and stimulating. but proving myself to anyone else is a completely different animal, and not one worth chasing. It's a futile effort, and honestly my opinion of myself is more than enough to satisfy me. I don't need validation from anyone else to feel accomplished. And hoenstly, if you have enough self-esteem to carry yourself without worrying about what anyone else thinks, 9 times out of 10 they will agree with you without proof. And if they don't, fuck em. Then out of nowhere John and Erin walk up. We ended up closing the club being kicked us out at around 2:45am we stood and talked in front of the bar for about 15min and I suggested we go to the pizza place to stay warm. Half the group headed home and the rest of us headed in for pizza. Were all laughing and joking and next thing we know Constantine, Michelle, Chuck, John, Erin, Jay and I are getting kicked out of the pizza place so they could close, it was a fun night and nice to see old friends again. Ben Cooksey was a very talented person. He was a musician, an artist, a friend, a son, a brother, and an uncle. I am sure he has made an impact in many peoples lifes over the years, and will be missed by many. I am sharing some of my photos of him and hope that people will take the time to pray for his family in this horrible time. I think the first picture is very suiting. Looking back in the rear view mirror. Looking back like I know all of you are doing trying to figure out what could have been done or said to change this all.
