| | Dennis and I went to see the Star Trek movie yesterday. Alright, hideous confession time: I'm very ignorant when it comes to anything sci-fi or fantasy. Before I went to see this movie last month I had never watched a single episode of The Original Series all the way through. Not one. No episodes, movies or anything. I knew nothing about the show whatsoever. But I loved the movie! I thought it was visually stunning, exciting, hilarious and well done. I thought it was an adventure in some fantasy world with crazy animals, but really its just 2 kids with shitty lives that cross a creek to escape their parents that don't hug them enough and imagine that they have something of worth I mean its great and all to show that kids can survive or whatever but there's a fine line between needing friends and needing help the agnostic undertones are pretty obnoxious not because I believe one thing or another, but because it was just completely unnecessary...
