ah yes. yesterday was the competition at la joya. it was kewl. but i honestly disagreed with some of the judging. i mean, i was happy cos our guard (mchi) got second. but i was kinda mad when i found out from the girls that the ppl that beat us didn't have a GREAT show. they said it was very violent. i dunno.also, honestly. i thought edinburg should have beaten psja north I. your show was MUCH cleaner. and i liked it more too! afterwards, if you guys noticed...our guard was crazy..we were SOOPER loud...sry bout that. love ya toodles!<3oh yeah. sarah, do you know how to get the times we perform for solo and ensemble?

So he had to drive back all the way back to Alamo to pick it up. So we had very little warm-up time. I did good on all of my work, but I dropped the easiest of the tosses. It was one of those tosses I never thought I’d drop. But oh well, we still have two more competitions to go.

i just wanted to say congradulations to all the guards that competed today. everything was GREAT! i hope you all had fun. i sure did! we won our first trophy in...umm..a LONG time, so freddy, our instructor, was VERY happy with that.

I know you all who are in guard, can all say that you have had one of those days when you just want to quit. Well, that’s how guard has been for me since the season started. I don’t know exactly how to explain it, but it’s horrible. I’m about ready to quit. I’m in the rifle line this year and I feel, and I think, I know I’m the slowest learner out of the six. I don’t want to be the reason why we aren’t getting better. So that adds unneeded pressure on me, to get the work quicker and better than the rest. I know I can do the work, but it just takes me longer than the other people. But when I get it, I will be the best, I assure you. But now…

hey im new to this community.(this is gonna be long im warning u, lol) My names Leah, im 16, and i an a Junior in highschool. I live in NY and i'm captain of our guard this year and also for winterguard. Our winterguard participates in the Mid York Colorguard Circut in the Scholastic A class and we also go to WGI shows. Our guard has 13 girls and 1 guy and our JV guard has 15 girls (im in varsity)I am also very into dance. I mainly spin weapon.. and i like blade the best. This is my 4th year (8th season) spinning for my school.I am also into the whole drumcorp world. Very much different from marching band but a lot better. I marched for the Syracuse Brigadiers of Syracuse NY (visit www.syracusebrigadiers.org to check it out)we are a Sr. Corp who participates in DCA.. and we placed 2nd at DCA World Championships. I am going to march for Brigs for the summer of '05 and then i am trying out for either Phantom Regiment or The Cadets jr. corp for summer tour of 2006.well now that you know all about my guard life, i really an looking forward to getting to know you guys and ur guard lives!<3Leah
