geeshnu @ 11:03pm: LARP, anyone? "Amtgard is a non-profit, non-sectarian group devoted to recreating elements of the medieval, ancient, and fantasy genres. The thrust of Amtgard is both recreational and educational, with major group efforts devoted to reconstructions of medieval combat. Amtgard weapons are safe, foam-padded replicas of the real things. Anyone age 14 or greater may join (those under 14 years of age require parental and Monarch approval to partake)."
For all those interested, the shire of Everfield is open to all those who wish to participate in the fun of Amtgard! Everfield is a shire located within the Kingdom of the Rising Winds, which spans five states currently. The kingdom monarch, Lord Baron Dekland Silverbush, is the founder of Everfield here in Richmond, and continues to base his reign here.
For more information on Amtgard, visit (The Official Amtgard Website), and for more information on the Kingdom of the Rising Winds or the Shire of Everfield in specific, visit (The Official Rising Winds Website). New players are always welcome! We have already accumulated enough regular players to apply for Barony status, and are rapidly approaching Duchy numbers. Come on out and join the fun!
Shire of Everfield
Meets every Saturday at Noon in Glen Miller Park next to the band shell (across from the Artesian well)
We play until at least 3pm, as long as 5pm
Loaner weaponry available for new players, with plenty of instruction on construction of weaponry and armor available!

matheson @ 9:36pm: Sabbat Game First off, I just wanted to say that it is great to be gaming again. My gaming has been sporadic at best for the better part of a year now. I'm just happy to be playing again. Especially with a character that I'm enjoying thus far.
Now on to the primary focus of this post. At yesterdays game I noticed that several people are not completely familiar with the Code of Milan. So, I thought as a roleplaying aid, since we are playing in a Sabbat game, I would post it here.
Note: The code is located in the Guide to the Sabbat as well.

gillisking @ 5:14pm: Thursday Well, The game seemed to go well this week. We finally got Diana in, we only lost one character, and we got some important story advancement done. We still had some distractions, and not all of them were external. It is my belief that a few people really need to have characters tanked, I did some work on my Revised Edition CD-Rom, and found that someone had used many many more points than they were ever given. I'll collect Characters at the next game and tank everyone.
As far as RP is concerned everyone seems to be doing fine. Over all I am very happy with the game.

gillisking @ 11:43am: Thursday The game went well; despite numerous distractions, some excusable, others not. Everyone who was involved had great Role-Play, and despite the size of the group people seem to be achieving personal goals, and receiving semi-equal "face-time," a HUGE step forward from the Camillia game. Katrina, and Josh seem to be doing especially well considering Katrina has only played 3 times, and Josh has always remained in the background. Josh has taken a central role in the game, and Katrina has started to say and do more. I'm very pleased with Mike, Neal, and usually Jess (although sometimes she gets pissy about stuff that happens in-game, and then stops showing enthusiasm). Jordan slowed down a lot this week, probably due to his lack of character sheet, and Jeremy still isn't doing as much as I thought he would. Billy is still growing as a character, my only concern that many of his characters are starting to become very similar, I hope that streak breaks with the next character.
For those who need to know: Thursday's Game September 11th is taking place at Neal, Jess' and Mikes, hence forth known as: The Crib-yo!

True Seer: You see the patterns of chaos and from
your favored medium can glimpse the future.
Perhaps you scry in the intestines of
sacrifices, gaze into crystals, watch the
static on TV, or just converse with the Truly
Dead. Whatever your art, your talents are
prized by the powerful, ignored by the foolish
and coveted by the weak.
