_6:34 pm_[hidehoman] left wing crap _I hate this sort of crap._Posted by the minstry of punk and ska on myspace. If I was a hunter, (which I'm not - I couldn't kill a fuckin fly) I would hunt until I had caught three ducks. and I would distribute them as follows :1. I would keep one for myself and to share with my family. Afterall I had done the hard work.2. I would give the second one to someone who desperately needed it. 3. I would sell the last to the landowner.(I know there is an arguement that there should't be landlords, and I have sympathy with that idea, but I look at it this way).I will sell the duck for 2 equal amounts keeping my share then pass a share to the person that desperately needs it. The result is that my comrade who needed help is now equal to me. He has food and money. While over time, if the fat cat (who's just sitting on his arse doing nothing) keeps paying for his/her food will one day run out of money and be force to go out hunting like my myself and my comrade. Therefore he or she would become equal to.I suppose the moral of the story is don't underestimate your power as a hunter and worker. If you really want an equal world then the ball is in the workers court. It doesn't matter how long it takes but it can happen if you want it to.My reply.....The flaw in your logic and the underling Communist argument you presented is this. Human nature......Those who can will. If you can hunt you will. If your comrade can get you to hunt for him he will. If the land owner can profit from you he will.If you continue to hunt and provide your comrade with food he has no incentive to hunt for him self and as you sell your duck to the land owner he will keep what he needs and sell the rest at a profit making you little more than a share cropper or slave. The land owner profits by your labor and your comrade can slide by with the hand out. Now you can change this to a point. If you teach your comrade to hunt and provide for himself. Then you and he can hunt and proved for your selves and if you like sell your excess. As time goes by you meet the land owner in the middle. No class war and no slacking comrades. The reason that Communism failed in the Solvent republic was APATHY. If I make ten a day and get 5 rubles and you make 1 a day and get 5 rubles what is my incentive to make more than the 1. slowly over time the system broke down there were shops with hundreds of umbrellas and no bread. The workers had no incentive to farm or turn what little food they had into bread. This is the fundamental flaw of communism. If you want to change the world rise up don't try and drag down. He was at the Scope exhibit in New York.He has also done performances about the war in Iraq... but they are not for or against it. So his politics are mixed. (1 Comment |Comment on this)

_11:59 am_[crimson_coke] myartspace.com Balhatain Hello guys,I have entered a competition and need votes to win. A little forward on my part, but one has to try (or use cutthroat tactics.) and if I win I get to go on a nice trip. Who knows... it might end up being an early honeymoon. :PAlso, if I win it could help jump start my career in the art world. I'm not so much in it for myself (Ok... the trip IS nice.) as I am to help out social issues that I believe in. As some of you know, my work has long been a message about the horror of child abuse and neglect. I want to be an advocate for those who have been harmed, but in order for that to happen I have to get my work seen. This could be the first step. All voters must become members of www.myartspace.com. This is an easy JOIN process that does not require upload of any images and its free. Each member has up to 20 votes which may be used on one or as many Artists/Photographers as you wish (Though it would be nice if you cast all 20 on me!). To view and vote go to www.myartspace.com (you may need the latest version of Adobe Flash 8, this is a free download). Click on VIEW CONTESTANTS (at the bottom of the page, use the scroll bar to the far right!) Enter my Login name (Balhatain) in the box marked FIND BY HANDLER OR NAME. Click FIND. My gallery and my photo should appear in this list. Click on the large green ">" to see my work. Remember, my login name has to be typed just like you see it here, BalhatainAlso, more of my work can be seen at http://balhatain.tripod.com/ and I recently was the featured artist at http://undergroundvoices.com/ (Comment on this)

_5:25 pm_[illusi0nist] Hi, all. Nice surprise to find this group. I'd originally found out about RW punk through an op-ed tribute to Johnny Ramone on some news site or other. Good to meet some LJ members who won't chew my head off for not thinking we should all abolish private transportation, or socialize the medical industry. What a relief. So, anyway, have a nice evening. Adios. Current Mood: sore (1 Comment |Comment on this)

_4:37 pm_[soemoibleed] I was just telling my dad about this, but I don't think I ever posted it here. Scranton (I don't live there, but I do go to the University of Scranton) is the dumbest town ever. Their town's war memorial honors those who served in "World War I, World War II, Korea, and Veetnam." I hate Pennsylvania. (Comment on this)

_5:05 pm_[soemoibleed] This was in my journal, but I had accidentaly made it private. And now, even though it's after Christmas, this is still funny. For My Democrat Friends:"Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2006, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. And without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee. By accepting these greetings you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for herself or himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher."For My Republican Friends:Here's wishing all of You a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! _2:36 pm_[catraprez] When talking about the environment... It never fails. At some holiday party I'll eventually get into a conversation with an environMENTAList. Mind you there are people who truly understand our environment and work to conserve natural resources. Then there are the environMENTALists who rarely spend time outdoors and have never stepped in anything softer than Fido's turds in their backyard. The environMENTAList reads, believes and regurgitates the junk-science behind the current environMENTAL movement. When confronted by these morons it's important to quote actual figures. As opposed to pulling something out of your ass, like they do. (Comment on this)

_10:43 am_[theosek] Long Time Listener, First Time Caller (Cross posted from my journal, because I'm sure you guys will find it just as amusing as I did...)In case there are still any Democrats out there who are clinging to the tiny piece of hope that their party is not hopelessly lost and careening into the ditch at a terribly high rate of speed, your House leader has just wrinkled up her prissy little nose and taken a hot steamy dump all over that idea."There is no one Democratic voice . . . and there is no one Democratic position" - House Minority Leader Nancy PelosiI couldn't have said it any better myself. I wonder if she has any idea exactly how ridiculous she sounds here? I feel sorry for the person whose job it is to quickly yank her away from the microphone and point out to her the fact that 'We Believe In Everything' = 'We Believe In Nothing', and that statements like that are no way to further the aspiration of ever hoping to retake the majority position. Seriously, someone on that side of the aisle needs to get their hands on the wheel, and quick. Current Mood: amused (3 Comments |Comment on this)

_9:27 pm_[aquamanheroclix] SENATOR CALLS ON BUSH TO TAKE DOWN ATTACK AD SENATOR CALLS ON BUSH TO TAKE DOWN ATTACK ADSat Dec 10 2005 16:41:38 ETToday, Senator Daniel Inouye, the Ranking Member of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee and a recipient of the Medal of Honor for his service in World War II, released the following statement:"As a Veteran of World War II, I know what it’s like to fight a war and put your life on the line every day. I also know what it takes to win a war, and I know that politics and an attack machine like the President’s plays no part in it. "The Republican Party’s latest ad is a shameful and disgusting attempt to distract the American people from the problems in Iraq. It may improve the President’s political fortunes, but the American people and our troops will pay the price. I hope that President Bush realizes how shameful it is to play politics when what we really need is leadership, and that he will direct his Party to take down this ad immediately." per www.drudgereport.comad is at www.gop.comI have to ask why is it an attack if they are using their own words in context? Are the Democrats featured in this ad attacking themselves by saying these things? These are their own words is what makes it seem silly to me, if you won't stand behind what you say what good are you? (Comment on this)

_10:07 am_[hidehoman] A bed time story for my son. once apon a time..... there was a group of men who had this really good idea. Throw off the oppression of a king that was a world away and try to come up with something better. In time they founded a week central government providing only the basic frame work of freedom and leaving most decisions up to the individual states and local representation. Over time this new form of government was tested time and time again. They even fought a war over the idea of states rights over a strong central government. Things worked ok for a long time. Then there was the great depression. Lots of people were out of work. So the government came up with the "new deal" (as I see it the "raw-deal") The Government decided that that people could no longer be trusted to take care of them selves and so side stepping the constitution and the ideals of those smart men at the beginning the Federal government went from being uncle sam to sugar daddy (ie leftist scum). Over time the people did forgot how to take car of them selves and the government had to provide more and more for the people. Soon the people were so dumb that they would stand outside in a storm to dumb to find shelter and provide for them selves. all the while saying how the government had failed them. Now what the people did not know was by taking the money and help from the Federal government they were giving more and more power to a system that was becoming increasingly corrupt. Soon the government learned that they could control the people with money. They could simply say you do things my way or we wont help you any more and because the people had forgotten how to help them selves they had no choice but to take the money and do what the government wanted. The people and the government lived this way for a while until a new group of smart men decided to throw off the oppression of a government gone mad with power. These men looked back to those few smart men that started it all and decided that they would in act there revolutionary heritage to fight the Federal government. So will you be one of those dumb people that can't take care of them selves or will you fight to preserve the Constitution and provide for your self.I wish my parents would have told me this story. _11:58 am_[soemoibleed] Mom, Be my voice. I want this message heard. It is mine and my platoon’s to the country. A man I know lost his legs the other night. He is in another company in our batallion. I can no longer be silent after watching the sacrifices made by Iraqis and Americans everyday.Send it to a congressman if you have to. Send it to FOX news if you have to. Let this message be heard please…My fellow Americans, I have a task for those with the courage and fortitude to take it. I have a message that needs not fall on deaf ears. A vision the blind need to see. I am not a political man nor one with great wisdom. I am just a soldier who finds himself helping rebuild a country that he helped liberate a couple years ago.I have watched on television how the American public questions why their mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters are fighting and dying in a country 9000 miles away from their own soil. Take the word of a soldier, for that is all I am, that our cause is a noble one. The reason we are here is one worth fighting for. A cause that has been the most costly and sought after cause in our small span of existence on our little planet. Bought in blood and paid for by those brave enough to give the ultimate sacrifice to obtain it. A right that is given to every man, woman, and child I believe by God. I am talking of freedom.
