_4:45 pm_[mirfainlasui]	I'm not entirely sure if this is the best place to ask, but I'm vaguely at a loose end, either way feel free to ignore if this isn't allowed.Basically, I'm in my third year at university, and as such am writing a dissertation. I found the following quote “The day I quit punk rock was the day I found out that while the boys love to talk about how they aren’t sexist and how oh-so-fucking-PC they are, it never seems cool to be a girl in the scene.” in the book the Post Subcultures Reader, and it was credited as Sarah, The Day I Quit Punk Rock, one off zine. Google tells me that she used to run something called screamqueen distro, and has in the past moderated some communities on lj, but nowhere online can I find the original zine anywhere, either to read online or to buy. I'm basing my dissertation on this quote, but would love to be able to read and utilise the zine itself, and was therefore wondering if anyone on this community would have any idea where I can find it, or perhaps owned/saved it and would be able to help me out?

_1:08 am_[redacted]	Vergangenheitsbewältigung Hi Riot Grrrls! I don't know if many of you know me, but my name is Katie and I've been in this community for a while, thought I don't post that much. I'm a writer and I live in LA, and I recently completed a project that I hope might interest some of you.I read and distributed my very first solo zine today at my friend Stephen van Dyck's Washington Blvd. Art Concert in LA. It was a really great experience; lots of people were there. I have a bunch of leftover zines which I'd like to try to get out to you guys, if you're interested. [recall project here.] Sadly I am charging for them ($1 + shipping, which is 1USor1 US or 1USor2 international.) I'm only doing this to cover printing costs, which were far higher than I expected, and it's still pretty cheap.My zine is called Vergangenheitsbewältigung, a German word which means "struggling to come to terms with the past." It was conceived of in post-WWII Germany as a way for the country figure out how to move on after the atrocity of the Holocaust, and how Germany can continue to exist not in that tragedy's awful shadow. I'm interested in how this term applies everyday people, on the personal level, and all the writing relates to this theme in some way. I fight like a girl who is tired of being IGNORED and HUMORED and BEATEN and RAPED. I fight like a girl who's sick of not being taken seriously. I fight like a girl who's been pushed too far. I fight like a girl who OFFERS and DEMANDS RESPECT. I fight like a girl who has a lifetime of ANGER and STRENGTH and PRIDE pent up in her girly body. I fight like a girl who doesn't believe in FEAR and SUBMISSION. I fight like a girl who knows that THIS BODY and THIS MIND are mine.
