Last week, Comic Book Resources posted a top 15 listing about Dick Grayson's various Comic Canon romances, potential romantic encounters and other oddities. Dick/Raven was listed at #1, via the 1987 Nightwing/Raven Comic Canon arc, the OP noting:

Raven definitely takes the cake for the weirdest on our list. Aside from an innocent kiss, nothing ever actually happened in the romance department between Dick and Raven. When Raven was learning how to feel her emotions, as opposed to doing her best to keep them at bay, she started to feel as if she was in love with Dick. These feelings, mixed with Raven’s power, manifesting as dreams in Dick’s head where the two would be together in “all kinds of ways.”

Obviously, these feelings were implanted on accident and were never real for Dick, so there was never really going to be any kind of future there. Raven was able to realize what she had been doing and stop, and the two continued on as friends.

Here is a fan-made teaser trailer detailing how a first meeting between a live-action Robin and Raven might go. The YouTube comments seem to be positive generally, so watch and see if you agree.

If I find or become informed of additional Robin/Raven-based fan videos, I'll certainly do my best to spotlight them.

In what may be the most memorable aspect of the 2003 animated episode, "The Quest," its B-plot had all other Titans cosplaying as Robin. (Starfire deemed such behavior as "Robin-ing.") It was a most fascinating curiosity, the metahuman Titans wishing to emulate the one member with no powers. And yet, as Cyborg said, "He has all the best stuff." Most surprisingly, there was a subtle Robin/Raven theme, as, unlike the other Titans, Raven wore Robin's costume perfectly. Raven's perfect fit was particularly ironic, coming from "Quest" writer Amy Wolfram (as per her general Robin/Starfire preference). She initiated the Robin-ing scenes by having Starfire overtly lament Robin's absence, discover Beast Boy inside Robin's room and the rest was history. The 2003 Go comic series would later do a "Raven as Robin" follow-up in Issue #24.

Today is the 10th anniversary of "The End - Part 3" (7/16/05) and the culmination of the Robin/Raven seeds sowed in "Haunted" and "Birthmark." The thread is to discuss any shipper musings, since personally viewing the episode and how much it may have affected you, 10 years later.

It has been a while, hasn't it, my friends?

I won't belabor my unexplained and unforeseen absence, beyond that 2014 was miserable for me and I'm glad it's over. However, those issues are resolving, so I'll now try my best to be around in some capacity. Meanwhile, I'm catching up on many things, both with and without the Titans. So, use this entry to discuss anything and everything (e.g, the recent Convergence comics, recent Titans GO episodes, TNT's planned live-action Titan series, the upcoming Starfire and Red Hood/Arsenal comics and/or any fun Robin/Raven or Nightwing/Raven ness that caught your attention).

Hope everyone had a good Spring, and let's hope we have a good Summer.
