ROCK N ROLL SEX ? (original) (raw)

Well, I have started recording my second album today. A little background on my first album:

About two months or so in the making if I recall, it only consists of three songs. Aftly titled "16 Years And This Is What I've Got To Show For It" (I made it when I was 16), the three songs are called:
"Low Speed Chase"-A sort of dark sounding four minute song with all sorts of weird instruments in it, including bongos! I put a solo over the entire song in a clean 60's guitar, surfy sort of tone. It's the pride of the album for me.
"Funky Meets the Groove"-A little bit of funk with a whole lot of groove, and some weird pounding piano at the end. A strange song since I feel it doesn't fit into any sort of genre.
"Purple"-I named the song purple because that's what it makes me think of when I listen to it. The color purple...just a weird techno song I made.

I didn't have any vocals in that album but I plan on singing and having some friends of mine sing as well on this one.

Unfortunately I as of yet don't have a means of putting these songs online but soon I will. Anyway, now to talk about the album I'm working on.

I will get some tracks up here as I progress, because so far the album is still a concept. I've written a lot of material and have experimented endlessly with tones. The album is going to open up with a track that as of now is only a rough, unfinished version. It's got four layers at the moment: the drums, a very synthy sounding 60's guitar tone dripping with delay hitting a G on every measure, and some very strange keyboard that I just did some improv on as I listened to the beat. I also added in some weird percussion stuff, I'm not sure if I'll keep it. And this is just the demo, so after I put the demo together I'm gonna redo everything, polish it up and stuff. I guess when I finish the (very rough) demo in a week or two, I'll put it up here somehow, to give you guys an idea of what it'll be like, because I would very much appreciate any input from fellow music obsessors such as yourselves.
