hey! when i started this community, i didn't know my band was on the verge of breakup. so for now i've got nothing much to post, otherwise i'd go first! however, i do think the community's a neat concept and would love to get the ball rolling... any brave soul care to break the ice?

Hi, I'm Kurt and I'm new. Until last week I was in the band llamallama with my two oldest kids, and then they quit the band. Can you believe? They muttered something about homework and "freakin' Murry Wilson" whatever that meant.Anyway, I've put llamallama on the back burner and started a side project called llamaman that consists of me, my Jet King, and a Yamaha QY10. I only buy equipment on the cheap, like in thrift stores or pawn shops. The motto of llamaman is, "It's a good thing you're not a big fat guy or this would be really difficult."I'll lurk for a while, mostly. I'm in several home-brew band communities, but I'm looking for a place to call home.

Hmm... looks like I'm the 2nd member here. Sweet, always good to be on the ground-floor of a new community.So, yeah, aboot me - 20 years old, male, from Toronto, Ontario but currently going to school in Peterborough.I'm at the moment in a band that may or may not be called VIC-1541. We're going for a sort of early-80's new-wave inspired vibe, but we're just getting started so who knows how it goes. Oh, I play guitar.Our biggest problem right now is that we have a lack of original songs, apart from a few that are gloriously simple. I may post a few up here, and definitely will be putting new material up here, if it ever gets written.Also, I'm really looking forward to find what sort of things are going on with other bands that are in the same position as us. Far too many bands don't really make it anywhere, so I'm always up for hearing new music and about the bands that make it.
