For those who haven't seen the following 10 minute rebuttal to Michael Moore by RP on Larry King from this past Thurs night.
And a major victory settling history for Nevada. Please remember this is in context of present as well - the woman who shut down the convention is Harry Reid's main opponent for Senator now. Sharon Angle could take her in the primary and is a better, more proven, grassroots candidate but doesn't so far have the money behind her that big biz of casino et all is behind Neocon Sue Lowden. ANY Dollar behind Sharon Angle will help GREATLY!

Not like this would have been a surprise, but with over 300 co-sponsors we thought it might go through un-touched:
Oct. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Representative Ron Paul, the Texas Republican who has called for an end to the Federal Reserve, said legislation he introduced to audit monetary policy has been “gutted” while moving toward a possible vote in the Democratic-controlled House.
The bill, with 308 co-sponsors, has been stripped of provisions that would remove Fed exemptions from audits of transactions with foreign central banks, monetary policy deliberations, transactions made under the direction of the Federal Open Market Committee and communications between the Board, the reserve banks and staff, Paul said today.
“There’s nothing left, it’s been gutted,” he said in a telephone interview. “This is not a partisan issue. People all over the country want to know what the Fed is up to, and this legislation was supposed to help them do that.”
It is time to get on the phone with everyone in Washington...Congressman and Senators and demand action against the illegal Federal Reserve. Call the Capitol Switchboard 202-224-3121 and speak with everyone you can!

NEVADA missing convention Ballots!

Exciting news that these ballots are FINALLY released. There is no doubt in my mind that Ron Paul took the state - the GOP heads even knew hence they shut down our convention. Note the following:

Last week, Republican National Committeewoman Heidi Smith contacted my daughter, Jennifer. Heidi obtained a key that she believed might be the key to the locked box containing the Congressional District #2 (CD 2) Republican National Convention delegate ballots from the Nevada State Republican Convention held on April 26th, 2008 at the Peppermill Hotel/Casino.
As you may recall, the counting of the ballots from CD 2 was never completed due to the premature and illegal closure of the State Convention. When the Convention was shut down, the counting of the ballots was halted in midstream. Following the orders of Party leadership, the CD 2 ballots were placed into a locked box at the Peppermill cashier's cage. Previous attempts to retrieve those ballots (including prior to the State Convention continuation on June 28th, 2008) have been unsuccessful due to the complete uncooperation of party officials.
Since April 26th, the validity and even the existence of those ballots has been questioned. As many of you know, the delegates from CD 2 were, in the end, appointed to the Republican National Convention by the national Republican leadership.
On Wednesday, October 21st, I was part of a group of concerned Republicans who met with National Committeewoman Heidi Smith at the Peppermill to attempt to determine the fate of those legally cast ballots. One of the original participants, October Pawlik, who was present when the ballots were originally locked away on April 26th, attended this investigation.
In box #99 at the Peppermill's cashier's cage, we found the ballots from CD 2. The seals on the envelopes containing the ballots were unbroken. Ms. Pawlik stated that the envelopes containing the ballots, and all the contents of the locked box, appeared to be undisturbed since April 26th. Again, the seals on the envelopes (with signatures of the observers across the seals) were unbroken. We immediately placed the ballots into a different locked box at the Peppermill cashier's cage. National Committeewoman Heidi Smith retained the key to that box.
Although the National Republican Convention is long over, we are determined to have these ballots counted. We believe we have the obligation to determine the outcome of that vote, in the interests of justice, for the record, as well as for the health and unification of the Republican Party itself.
The ballot count is tentatively scheduled take place at the Washoe County Republican Party headquarters this Friday, October 30th, at 4:00 pm. A limited number of volunteers are needed to count votes and to observe the vote count.

"YOU LIE!" - Joe Wilson (R-SC) (Cross-Posted)

I think that Joe Wilson is probably correct, but the way he stated it was tactless in that Obama was giving an address to Congress. Anyone who listened to their parents or teachers when they were a kid knows that it is rude to yell out when someone, especially the President, is giving a speech.
With all that being said, I think that Joe Wilson is correct. Obama said that his health care plan will not pay for illegal immgrants to receive health care. I think that President Obama is playing word games when he says that. I think that next year, Obama plans on having Congress pass "Comprehensive Immigration Reform", which is another word for "Amnesty". People who are illegal immigrants today will be made legal by the stroke of Obama's left hand, and they will receive health care paid for by you and me.
I find it curious that Democrats are whining about Wilson's outburst. It was rude, but the Democrats did much worst when George W. Bush was President. How many times did a Democrat compare Bush to Hitler during his Presidency? What about Cindy Sheehan protesting in front of Bush's House? How many Democrats insulted the President's intelligence and tried to undermine him, when Bush was in the White House? The way the Democrats treated Bush for eight years is exactly how they should expect Obama to be treated for the next four years.
Let us also address some of Obama's shadiness and Joe Wilson's, "you lie!" statement. I do not see Obama getting into trouble like CLinton did because he lied about a relationship with an intern. I see Obama doing questionable things, but nothing that you could impeach him for or nothing that is against the law, where he could legally get in trouble for it, like Nixon or Clinton, although I think Obama is Nixonesque in some of his secretive and back-door ways of doing things. Before ACORN, the group that helped Obama get elected, had its "prostitution scandal", Obama wanted them to be responsible for part of the census. ACORN is the same group that registered Disney characters to vote, paid people to register to vote,a dn registered the same person 72 times. Obviosuly, they are a shady group, that should be investigated. Foruntately, the ACORN, "Prostitution, Tax-evasion Scandal" has tarnished their image and has made the Census Bureau drop them as part of the Census-taking process.
Obama knows that he can not get his extremist buddies confirmed by the United States Senate and give them legitimate positions, so he has decided to name them as "czars" to usurp the Senate, and get them into power. Do you really think that the Senate would approve a 9-11 truther who says that white people are poisoning minorities as a "Green Jobs Czar"? Of course, the Senate approved a guy who wants forced organ donation into a regulatory position, so you never know. Obama's government apparatus is extremely huge. Do we seriously need 35 different czars? Should the Federal Government and the Executive Branch really have that much power? This makes me long for the days of Clinton. Back then, when you said something about "the Executive Branch", it was a sexual joke, and nothing about the abuse of power.

Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul: cut from the same cloth?

The Sacramento Campaign for Liberty invites readers to support auditing the Federal Reserve System on “Sunshine Day,” Saturday, August 8, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium.
“Would you like your money to be held in a bank that’s never been audited?” asks Kevin Duewel, Sacramento Campaign for Liberty organizer. There’s a pregnant pause. “That’s a rhetorical question.”
The Folsom resident is speaking about the Federal Reserve System, the system of one central and 12 regional banks that controls the U.S. money supply, and the U.S. Senate and House of Representative bills recently introduced to reform the auditing process for that system.
The House bill, called the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, was introduced by Rep. Ron Paul, the conservative libertarian from Texas. As it happens, Sacramento Campaign for Liberty, which has 130 registered members, is the local remnant of the national movement that supported Paul’s quixotic run in the 2008 Republican presidential primaries.
On Saturday, August 8, from 4 to 8 p.m., the group plans to gather at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium to promote “Sunshine Day,” which takes its name from the Federal Reserve Sunshine Act introduced in the Senate by Sen. Bernie Sanders, an independent progressive from Vermont.
It would be difficult to find two members of Congress more diametrically opposed on the political spectrum than Paul and Sanders. However, the Fed’s refusal to disclose where trillions in bank bailout money has been spent brought the unlikely pair together. Which also explains why Rep. Dennis Kucinich, one of the most liberal members of the House, has enthusiastically endorsed Paul’s bill.
The Federal Reserve is currently audited by the U.S. Government Accountability Office. However, the results of those audits are accessible only to the Federal Reserve’s board of governors. Both Paul and Sanders’ bills seek to reform the process by making the GAO’s report available to Congress.
It may be an idea whose time has come. In fact, 282 representatives have signed on as co-sponsors of Paul’s bill. Sanders has gathered 23 co-sponsors in the Senate. Interestingly, local Republican representatives Dan Lungren and Tom McClintock are among Paul’s co-sponsors; but Democratic Rep. Doris Matsui has yet to throw down. Neither Sen. Dianne Feinstein nor Sen. Barbara Boxer, both Democrats, are supporting Sanders’ bill so far.
“Why wouldn’t they be in favor of making accessible audits of the Federal Reserve done by the GAO?” asks Paul Lozancich, Sacramento Campaign for Liberty spokesman. “This is hardly consistent with the American principle of checks and balances.”
That may be the understatement of the past century, according to the Fed’s most vehement critics. It’s important to understand the Federal Reserve is federal in name only. In 1913, Congress granted the Fed the power to control the money supply, a power that some opponents say is granted only to Congress by the Constitution. The Federal Reserve is a private banking system that’s owned by other large multinational banks and investment houses—Goldman Sachs, Chase Manhattan Bank, Bank of America, et al.
As Duewel says, “It’s about as federal as FedEx.”
In Web of Debt, author Ellen Hodgson Brown argues that the debate between granting government sole control of the country’s money supply or turning that power over to private bankers dates to pre-revolutionary times. For example, President Andrew Jackson informed Congress in 1829, “If the American people only understood the rank injustice of our money and banking system, there would be a revolution before morning.”
That statement applies as much today as it did in Jackson’s era, although you’re much more likely to be branded a crackpot for speaking it out loud in our time. Consider how Kucinich and Paul, the only true anti-war candidates running in the 2008 presidential campaign, were marginalized by the media and even their own parties. Straying from the middle of the track is the third rail of American politics today.
Still, while Kucinich and Pauls’ supporters may be small in number, they potentially represent a powerful voting block if they can come together. Considering the trillions of taxpayer-backed dollars being funneled through the Fed into the casino sinkhole known as Wall Street, supporting the Sunshine and Transparency acts seems like a great place to start.

75% Favor auditing the fed

So much for the ongoing secrecy of the nation’s independent central banking system. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 75% of Americans favor auditing the Federal Reserve and making the results available to the public.
Just nine percent (9%) of adults think that’s a bad idea and oppose it. Fifteen percent (15%) aren’t sure.
Over half the members of the House now support a bill giving the Government Accounting Office, Congress’ investigative agency, the authorization to audit the books of the Federal Reserve Board.
Support for the bill has grown now that the Obama administration is proposing to give the Fed greater economic regulatory powers. The Fed which sets U.S. monetary policy was created as an independent agency to keep it free of politically-motivated interference.
Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke in a town forum filmed on Sunday which is airing this week on PBS stations said he is strongly opposed to the audit legislation. “I don’t think the American people want Congress running monetary policy,” he said. Howard Rich addressed this issue in a recent commentary and concluded it was important to locate the “trillions of dollars” the Fed has spent over the last year-and-a-half.
The new survey finds that an overwhelming majority of Americans in every demographic category – including age, gender, political affiliation, race and income – disagree with Bernanke and favor auditing the Fed to make its secretive deliberations public.
Fifty-two percent (52%) of Americans support Bernanke’s efforts to speak out more publicly than his predecessors as Fed chairman, but his favorables have gone down over the past month. A plurality (41%) think the previous Fed chairman, Alan Greenspan, did a better job, too.
While the president hopes to expand the Fed chairman’s regulatory controls, 46% of Americans say he already has too much power over the economy.
Fifty-one percent (51%) oppose expanding the Fed’s regulatory powers.
Despite Bernanke’s pledge that the Fed will keep interest rates and inflation down, 54% of Americans think interest rates will be higher a year from now, up 20 points from April.
Perhaps helping to drive the support for regularly auditing the Fed is the growing unpopularity of Obama’s economic initiatives to date. While the Fed is an independent agency, just 20% of Americans believe the Fed chairman is truly independent of the Obama administration. Sixty percent (60%) say his decision-making is influence by the president.
