Roswell Textless (original) (raw)

Hey there, everybody. I'm so sorry that this challenge went so long before voting.

Here are the 9 entries, ( under the cutCollapse )

Hey everyone! We'd like to apologize for the VERY long absense...

But alas, a new and exciting challenge is here! So put on your creative hats... or something MUCH less cheesy... and get to work! ;)

Challenge No. 27

1. Base

Remember, you get one base with which you can make ONE icon.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

2. Screencaps
Here you have 3 screencaps, and you can use them to make two icons.
Blending the pictures is okay, but use each picture only once when making your two icons.

( Screencaps under the cutCollapse )

3. Theme
The theme is FRIENDS. I'd prefer it if you didn't count the major couples (Micael/Maria, Liz/Max, Alex/Isabelle etc) as friends, but instead choose couples like Kyle/Tess, Maria/Liz, Max/Michael, etc. Screencaps can be found at Granolith.

All screencaps and the cap used to make the base were made by Kat, and are from the episode "We Are Family". Kat is a part of Granolith.

So, in total, you can enter up to 4 icons.

Other Rules:
*ABSOLUTELY NO text, as the name of this community states.
*Gradients, brushes, textures, etc. (as long as they contain no text) are acceptable
*NO animations

And don't forget the general rules of the community, which you can read in the userinfo.

Voting turnout was frickin' amazing! I'd like to say thanks to everyone who voted. If only we'd had a turnout like that during the initial stages of this challenge. But oh well.

Hey everyone, this is orpheus345. I decided it was time for a new username.

So, anyway, we've got a new layout. I'm still working on the colors, but I think it's rather spiffy so far.

I've decided to reopen Challenge 26. Mostly because I'm kind of in love with the caps, and because I really want this community to stay active. The challenge will end Sunday, February 11th. Voting will go up on Monday the 12th. I really hope that atleast a few more of you have time to enter. Click here to go to the challenge post.

I'd absolutely love to hear ANY suggestions you guys have that will help keep the community active. Should we change up the style of the challenges? Instead of always having one base, three caps and a theme? Maybe add another section for larger graphics, like headers or banners (textless, of course)? Seriously, any thoughts/suggestions/comments would be helpful. Once we've come up with some options, we can all discuss what we think is best for the wellbeing of the comm.

Thanks!
-Heather

Challenge 26 Ended

All right, so, I'm not really sure what to do at this point. The amount of icons entered has been slowly dropping over the past few months. And I received NO entries for this challenge, after extending it for days.

Is there any particular reason that no one is entering? Are you too busy? Are the caps not acceptable?

I just want to know what I can do to keep this place going. But without entries... that's more or less impossible. I cant run challenges with absolutely zero entries.

If no one wants to take part in this community anymore, then it's stupid for me to continue putting up challenges.

But if there is even a slight desire for you to continue entering icons here, I would love to keep giving you challenges.

I'm very sorry if this sounds harsh, but I just had to try to do something to figure out whats wrong.

So Challenge 26 has gone two days longer than it's original deadline.

However, since I only received one entry, I suppose I'll have to let it go on a bit longer.

This challenge will be extended to Friday, January 26th. If I by that time there arent enough entries to hold a proper voting, then we'll just scrap this challenge and move on to the next one.

Also, jessca456 and I are working on a new layout. If you have any suggestions or ideas as to what episodes/characters/themes should be featured in the layout, just let us know.

Hey everyone! It's time for a new challenge.

Challenge No. 26

1. Base
Remember, you get one base with which you can make one icon.

2. Screencaps
Here you have 3 screencaps, and you can use them to make two icons.
Blending the pictures is okay, but use each picture only once when making your two icons.
( screencaps under the cutCollapse )

3. Theme
The theme is: Since they seem to already be a theme in the caps I chose, the theme for this challenge is hands. The icon doesnt have to be only of hands, but they should be the main focus. I hope that isnt too confusing. If you have any questions, just let me know.

All screencaps and the cap used to make the base were made by Be Strong, Alex, and are from the episode "Cry Your Name". Be Strong, Alex is part of Granolith

So, in total, you can enter up to 4 icons.

Other Rules:
* Absolutely no text , as the name of this community states.
* Gradients, brushes, textures, etc. (as long as they contain no text) are acceptable.
* No Animations

And dont forget the general rules that always apply, which can be found in the userinfo.

Challenge ends: January 21st Entry count: 0
