ANETA MANCEWICZ is a Senior Lecturer in Drama and Theatre at Royal Holloway, University of London and Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy. Her research focuses on performances and adaptations of Shakespeare, European theatre and intermediality.

She is a Regional Editor (Europe) of Global Shakespeares Video & Performance Archive: http://globalshakespeares.org/#. In 2013-2016 she was co-convener of the Intermediality in Theatre and Performance working group of IFTR.

She worked at the University of Birmingham, Kingston University, University of Bedfordshire and Kazimierz Wielki University in Poland. In 2011-2013, she was a Marie Curie Research Fellow at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London and in 2010-11, she was a Kosciuszko Foundation Fellow at Theatre Department, Graduate Center, City University of New York.

She holds M.A. degrees in English and Polish as well as B.A. in Italian from Nicolaus Copernicus University, Torun, Poland. She was granted a Ph.D. at Jagiellonian University, Cracow, Poland. In 2002-03 she studied English and French at Université Catholique de l'Ouest, Angers, France as an Erasmus student.

Her teaching experience includes modules on Shakespeare, Renaissance theatre, performance studies and dramaturgy in digital age.

She has given guest lectures and seminars at the Shakespeare Institute (University of Birmingham), University of Surrey, University of Glasgow, City University of New York (USA), Shakespeare Library (University of Munich, Germany), University of Padua (Italy), Vrije Universiteit (Brussels, Belgium), University of Greifswald (Germany) and Pázmány Péter Catholic University (Hungary).

As a member of major Shakespeare Associations, she has presented papers at the conferences of International Association of Shakespeare, European Shakespeare Research Association, German Shakespeare Society, Shakespeare Association of America, and Australia and New Zealand Shakespeare Association.

She is also a member of Shakespeare Association of America, European Shakespeare Research Association, and International Federation for Theatre Research.
