The challenge of inculturating the gospel with cultural traditions is not new. The presence of Ca... more The challenge of inculturating the gospel with cultural traditions is not new. The presence of Catholicism in Java is quite influenced by Javanese culture, both literature, art, tradition and others. One of the inculturation efforts is the translation of the Holy Scriptures into Javanese, as has been done by Father Soenarja, SJ. Efforts to translate the Bible into the local language pave the way for wide inculturation for the development of the faith of the people of the Bible. So, the translation of the text of the Bible also takes into account the benefits of building the faith of the people. One of the efforts made is that the translation of the Holy Scriptures is not only in language but also adapted to the form of literature that is familiar to the Javanese in conveying a teaching, one of which is macapat. By using C.S Pierce's semiotic analysis approach, the author finds that the Papat Bible has an interpreter and ground that can be used as a mission bridge in Javanese culture. Through C.S Pierce's semiotic analysis, Papat's Bible, which has many choices of diction, can be interpreted through the feelings of Javanese culture through liturgical pastoral efforts for the sake of living the faith of the Javanese.

How does social activism among Catholic youth at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Kotabaru Yogyakarta become the embryo of the birth of citizenship catechesis? The two authors conducted qualitative research with a naturalistic descriptive design through participative observation, literature review and semi-structured interviews to collect data. The Catholic youth in St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Kotabaru Yogyakarta, who belong to the Z generation and are actively involved in social activism, is the leading research informant. penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Katekese Kebangsaan yang didesain dapat terkoneksi dan melibatka... more penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Katekese Kebangsaan yang didesain dapat terkoneksi dan melibatkan insan beriman Z dalam hidup berbangsa di tengah masyarakat. Berdasarkan riset yang telah dilakukan di Paroki St. Antonius Padua, Kotabaru, Yogyakarta, ditemukan fakta bahwa gagasan embrional katekese kebangsaan secara organik sudah mulai diterapkan melalui berbagai kegiatan srawung yang dilakukan generasi insan beriman Z. Selain itu, ditemukan fakta selanjutnya bahwa generasi insan beriman Z memiliki tingkat keterlibatan yang baik terhadap persoalan kebangsaan. Berdasarkan fakta tersebut penulis berpendapat bahwa Gereja perlu menyelenggarakan Katekese Kebangsaan secara sistematik menggunakan desain aktivitas yang memungkinkan generasi insan beriman Z dapat terkoneksi dan terlibat di dalamnya. Penulis mengusulkan Katekese Kebangsaan untuk generasi insan beriman Z dengan menggunakan media digital melalui podcast dan platform pada media sosial.
