It puzzled him a little, worried him more. Seeing Archie like that, it stung him inside, though of course he would not show that here. Better then, to focus on the best part of the news, they had been brought together once again and this time he'd not be fool enough to lose Archie again. No matter what that outcome took.

Title: Good Coffee, Stong Coffee
Fandom: Horatio Hornblower
Characters: Horatio, Archie
Prompt: 060 Drink
Rating: PG
Summary:Some things are better than coffee

"You have got to be joking." Horatio frowned at the muddy looking mess in his cup and debating upending it over his friend's head. "You promised me the coffee here was drinkable." he hissed, not liking the glimmer of Archie's eyes. "This is the last time I let you pick the inn." he continued, but stopped again when Archie's smile turned into a smirk.
"Even though you liked the bed?" his friend enquired sweetly. Remembering last night, Horatio knew he was beaten, and picking up the dreadful coffee, settled for a sip. Maybe some things were worth it after all.
