hikaness @ 10:13pm: OMFG MUPPETS! Okay, it's official. Inspired by andy_longwood's recent post, I've decided to revive the Save The Fangirls community because, seriously, it's the awesomest community ever and we can't just let it die like it's some sort of... dead... thing.

So. Fangirling. (And, yes, okay, pimpage.)

My current obsessions of the moment are Lost, and thusly, Dominic Monaghan. Of course, now that Dominic Monaghan's so totally dating Evangeline Lilly, I've become a total Monalilly shipper because dammit, it's cute.

I joined this RP a few weeks ago, stuck_island. Seriously. It's great. It's about a celebrity cruise ship (with some of the Lost cast) which sinks, stranding its passangers on an island. GENIUS, I TELL YOU, GENIUS. Anyway, I got (happily!) recruited to play Evangeline Lilly, and of course, there's someone there playing Dominic Monaghan, and our recent RP of unbelievable angst and cuteness has made my head a'splode. In a good way. :D

So, yeah, addicted to that. Also, I really need to take pictures of the doors in my room, because they are absolutely full of pictures I've torn from magazines. Truly, truly beautiful.

I LOVE BEING A FANGIRL.

andy_longwood @ 7:05pm: Hey there. I'm Andy, and I am a habitual reader of profiles. Thus, here I am, via hikaness.

I mostly fangirl LotR and most recently Firefly, which my friend and I watched on his laptop in the off-campus student lounge during our first semester of college, so that we had an excuse not to study in our spare time. My favorite thing that I've ever done with my Firefly fandom was the "I am a leaf on the wind" shirt that I made after seeing Serenity. It makes Browncoats come out of the woodwork like nobody's business.

I write too much fanfic, role-play like there's no tomorrow, and have read the same books way too many times to count, and would like to publish at least one book in the forseeable future. Go writers. And go fangirls!

Anywho, hi. Watch how I soar.

amethyst_wolf @ 1:13am: Obligatory Newbie Post 'ho, everyone. I stumbled across this whilst looking at vzg's profile, and I couldn't resist joining.

A bit about myself. I'm a 20 year old fangirl who enjoys me some fanfics. I've been writing since I was 12, and fan-ficcing since I was 16 or so. Yes, I'm guilty of commiting deadly acts such as badficcing, and Mary-Sue'ing, but I'd like to think that's all behind me now. (At least, I hope so. Writer's curse and all that- I never think any of my work is tolerable. *laughs*)
I enjoy both slashing,and writing het. Thus, obsessing over men who, sadly, aren't real. My obsessions are from the following: Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, and Knights of the Old Republic; and, if you've noticed, they're all video games. Did I mention that I'm a video game dork? 8D
My favourite pairings include: SnakexOtacon, Naked SnakexYoung!Ocelot, SephirothxAerith (Don't ask..), and Carth x LSF!Revan.

echo_starlite @ 12:22pm: I went down to NYC and went star-spotting for the short ammount of time I was on my own. It was spiffing, I shall say...

We went over to The Plaza Hotel, and there were all sorts of weird people around... Probably because the Olympic Committee is still around. I know there are extra letters in comittee up there by olympic, but I like the extra letters.... They bother people...

I did something fan-girl-ish, though:

I was walking through Central Park through the Gates, and there was a camera crew there taking pictures and getting footage of people walking around and enjoying the FRIGID New York day, so I got out my notebook with my LOTR pics on it, went up to the camera man and said, "If you see these guys, can you send them my way?"

That was mostly because the guy with the camera looked almost EXACTLY Orlando Bloom with naturally blonde hair. However, he seemed to be lacking in his sense of humor, and I was having a bad enough day as it was, sooo... -_-;;;

BUT HE WAS SOOO CUTE! And he wasn't mean about it or anything. He just wasn't very keen on LOTR.

Also, we gawked and expounded (eh?) on a large Harry Potter billboard in a side street while passer-by made fetted glances at us as though we were soon to attack the entire city. Lots of Harry/Draco jokes flying around, too...

Unlike most of you, however, I don't actively indulge myself with LotR and HP things. Instead, I go for the sexy crime shows that are currently ever-so-popular. Those being CSI and WaT, that is. I'm also a major slash fan and looooove the crimeslash. Nick/Greg, Ryan Wolfe/Danny Messer, and Danny/Martin are my favourite pairings.

I have most of my fiction put up at random places around the net. I go by Dr FooFoo, which is what you'll have heard of in the very unlikely case of anyone actually having heard of me. :P

I look forward to incessantly fangirling with all of you!

I was directed here from lost_tv, so I thought I'd post and say hi ^_^ I'm Dena, I fangirl lots of things... mainly LOTR (Dominic Monaghan ::sigh:: hehe), Harry Potter, and Star Wars (Han Solo ::SIGH::: Star Wars being my first-ever fandom--the obsession began in 6th grade!). I'm also getting way into Lost now, such a fabulous show :D I'm waiting for the rerun to start, just to enjoy it all over again.

My best friend Amy and I write silly fangirl fanfic sometimes.. it all started when she wrote me into a Goo Goo Dolls fanfic waaaaay back in the day as Dena the Pink Haired Groupie. Now we write silly stories about our imaginary adventures at imaginary LOTR and Star Wars conventions. It's silly, but EVER so fun XD

Anyway... hi everyone ^_^ This is a spiffy community!

hikaness @ 10:53am: Fellow fangirls... Watch LOST. Seriously. Watch it a lot. It's just that good. The first two episodes are replying TONIGHT, OCTOBER SECOND, AT 8, 7 CENTRAL ON ABC.

And then it airs every Wednesday night at 8, 7 central on ABC.

Seriously. It is so good. If you haven't seen it yet, you don't know what you're missing. I <3 it much. Which means you must watch it. Or else.

It has Dom in it, if that helps.

I just want to say that besides being drained from giving blood, I saw the BEST THING at school yesterday.

There's this guy who goes to school with me who looks JUST LIKE Harry Potter. I mean scrumpably like Harry Potter. I'll get a picture and post it, but it totally freaked me out, seeing him suddenly coming out of the gym.

Besides the fact that I joined the rugby team today (wOOt!), I also committed another Act of Fangirl-ism.

I'm going to do a new one every day, I think. Just as something to do, you know...

Anyway!

Today's Random Act of Fangirl-ism was:
I wore my Pippin pin all around school on my shirt. At random intervals, I would grab passerby's and ask them to name the character, the actor, and their impressions of him. I would then inform them that I intended on finding him someday and...well, you can guess the rest.

As a happiness for the day, I saw a guy wearng a shirt that said, "I Heart Pippin." There's no heart image, it just says "Heart"! I would have hugged him, but traffic forced me into my Sociology room first.

Nothing more to say.

So it's very hard to post here. However, as my fangirlish act of the day, I got a shibi picture of Tom Felton and hung it in my locker. I then forced random strangers to view it and comment on his shibiness.

I'm a fangirl of the most normal ships, such as LotR, HP, PotC, etc.etc.etc. However, I'm a slasher, so beware... *insert maniaclly laughing smiley face here*

I used to Beta read, but now I'm *retired*, mostly because I don't have the same internet hours as I used to... School work can do that to you.

I'm also an avid TORCer, I love writing, and though I have no current fanfiction posted anywhere online, I have enough unfinished story to create a Depression Void large enough to swallow all of Kenya. Forget Norway!

Nyerm, no more can I say on these matters, for I must register for my SAT.

Howdy. Yes, I am Hika, and yes, I am a fangirl.

I love Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, His Dark Materials, Discworld, The O.C., and Lost (even though, you know, it hasn't aired yet).

It seems like a small list, but I'm doubly obsessed, so it all makes up for it in the end.

I fangirl for Dominic Monaghan the most. Because he is so totally a hot sexy mofo.

There's also a hell of a lot more, but it's kind of late and my mind isn't working. (The altitude, you know. And the humidity.)

Ahoy! I am Kate, also known as VampireZombieGirl or VZG. I am a fangirl; at the same time, however, I am literate. I have, in my time, written badfic and Mary Sues, but I am no longer in that stage of fangirlism. Now I fangirl... with dignity!

I am a slasher and I am proud. <3

My fandoms include, but are not limited to, Harry Potter, Smallville, Wolf's Rain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Degrassi: The Next Generation, X-Men, Lord of the Rings, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Petshop of Horrors, Graviation, Inu-Yasha, Ranma½, Last Exile, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Dark Angel. There are more, but I'd say those are the biggest ones.

This community is dedicated to saving fangirls from fangirl-haters (fanboys also accepted) and indulging in fangirlism (or fanboyism, but mostly fangirlism). Post fanfiction, news, pictures, fan art... pretty much anything. The biggest fandoms are probably Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings, but there is no limits.

Please do not post any questionable material directly or without a warning. (I know the current members wouldn't, so this is for future members. ^_^)
