Implementation of mobile Technology has change the way of people to access and communicate information. Users want easy and instant access to relevant information, putting pressure on Library and Information Science (LIS) professionals to think out of the box for meeting their information needs. Application of mobile phones to provide library and information services are a significant step in this direction. In this 21 st century Library and information science professional's essentially to use mobile technology in libraries and this new technology offering outreach technical options for librarians. Libraries have the well opportunity to extend new different types of library services to users. This study is a new platform for reaching students and staff members. The main purpose of this study mobile technology use in higher education generally and particularly effective utilize in libraries and library services.

The concept of automation in libraries has changed the scenario of library management. It is a re... more The concept of automation in libraries has changed the scenario of library management. It is a recent trend in the development and growth of library. Using of e-Granthlaya, Library Automation of has changed the library operation and its functionality in to a fast to faster mode. Clients need not to visit shelf to shelf to find out a document. They just get their documents sitting in front of a desktop. e-Granthalaya is a Library Management Software facilitates to automate not only the in-house activities of the library but also the user services .Automation has eliminated the man power. It is providing automatic service. Now every Government institution has setup library internally as a service and resource centre which meets the information need of the staff for efficiently performing their duties. It converted to a Knowledge Base Centre by implementing ICT tools and technologies. NIC has taken initiative to computerize Indian Libraries by implementing e-Granthalaya software Here this article will discuss about the concept of automation, its requirement and various components helps to automate library. A brief dissection has undergone about software package which are available for automation purposes.

The study examines the scientometric dimension of international papers published in two Scopus in... more The study examines the scientometric dimension of international papers published in two Scopus indexed LIS journals of India -Annals of Library and Information Studies (ALIS) and DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology (DJLIT) from 2012 to 2020. Analyzes the authorship pattern, degree of collaboration and applicability of Lotka’s inverse square law. One of the major findings of the study indicates that a total of 346 authors has contributed to international papers published during 2012- 2020

It has its impact on our day to day life to professional life. Beyond our day to day overloaded work pressure and assignment, sometimes, we like to talk and share with our friends and colleagues, and Facebook is the best platform we prefer to talk and share and stay connected with our friends and colleagues for some non-academic and academic interest in the form of scholarly communication as well. This paper attempts to discover the influence of Facebook upon the academic and research performance of faculty members of KIIT University. Basing upon the objectives of this research, a well-structured online questionnaire was prepared and mailed to 165 faculty members of five different schools carrying 33 respondents from each school, out of which, only 133 filled in questionnaires were returned to us. ...
